Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports training at the age of fourteen. Aspen Ladd trained in BJJ, kickboxing, wrestling and boxing before her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Ladd was on a stunning 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In all three, she finished her opponent within the first round. She then went back to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 before taking on Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia beat Aspen with a majority vote. The loss put a mark on her record as an amateur. Ladd rebounded from her loss by defeating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, which brought her record to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015. Aspen signed with Invicta FC and made her debut. The InvictaFC11 fight was her very first professional fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and prevailed via armbar submission in the second round. Aspen employed the strong skills she had learned in wrestling to take on McGill. She ended her fight via an KO (3rd round) (elbows as well as punches). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy with an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) since Ladd did not gain weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy until she was defeated in the 2nd round via TKO. Invicta FC21 was her last match with the company. The winner was Sijara Ebanks by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She fought Linalansberg at UFC Fight Night 118. She outclassed Lina with a pound and grind to her before prevailing by TKO in the second round. In her second fight, she overcame Tonya Evinger even more impressively. Ladd took over Evinger's fight following the opening round. She also received an extra bonus for her performance that night. Her first major fight came with her next bout in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Ladd took home the unanimous decision after a great back-and forth fight with the fighters got an award of Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd's winning streak within 16 seconds. Yana Knitskaya in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's 3rd round, was defeated by Randamie. In a last-minute substitute for her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. She lost by unanimous decision.
