Her birth date is 29, 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina Michelle Mendoza has been her name. Gerina Stevenson has Mexican parents Rita Stevenson and Alan Stevenson. She has Mexican roots, yet is American in nationality. Since she was a child she's had a keen determination to be involved in sporting activities. Gerina began playing golf around the age of fifteen. Gerina finished her high school studies during her time at Goddard High School. While she was in the high school level, she was able to win her first prize in the New Mexico state golf tournament. She played volleyball and was also a participant in state tournaments. She enrolled in Texas's University of Texas, Texas in 2003. In her final year, she was the winner of every competition she played in. During her undergrad career she took home an award for Conference USA Individual Champion Player of the Year Award and UTEP Female athlete of the year.
